Indian Mackerel (Bangda)

Indian Mackerel is a highly commercial fish in South Asia and probably the number one exported fish from Pakistan to China, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, and Europe. The fish is very seasonal in Pakistan and is abundantly available from September to March. However, limited supply remains to continues in the off-seasons as well. Since it’s a relatively small fish, it has very limited cooking options. Indian Mackerel is one of the healthiest fish found in the Arabian Sea and is loaded with Omega-3, Protein, and Zinc.

Reef Cod is probably the most selling fish at Imran Seafood since we introduced it to our audience few years ago. Reef Cod has nothing to do with the common Cod fish as Reef Cod belong to the grouper family. It’s known as Reef Cod because of its flavor profile resemblance with Cod. Generally a small size fish, its best known for finger fish and can do great for fish n chips style cooking.
